Progress report. I've gotten Chapter Two of Hottest Day recorded, but there's a lot of stuttering in it, so I am having to go back to edit it sentence by sentence, and that's taking some time. I enjoy reading things aloud and doing voices, but this is probably why I'd never be able to do a podcast full-time!
And yes, the stutter's probably genetic, since my grandfather also had one. I'll be talking and it feels like either my tongue or my mind will blank out for half a second, and by the time it comes back online, I've dropped a syllable or the next word I was going to say. Sometimes entire sentences, but that's more rare. In normal conversation I usually cover it by going "blah blah blah I mean let me start over" but that doesn't work so well in the middle of an epic reading, ha ha!
I might just have to take recording in smaller chunks, since it happens less often when I can keep an entire paragraph in my short term memory, so to speak. At any rate, just wanted to let you know this isn't a dropped project, but there are some difficulties occurring between brain and microphone that have delayed the process!
