As I'm reviewing the Liberty Square interview, I realize I talked about something in it without making a post about it here!
And that is: editing services. Yes, we do offer those! These can range from simple proof-reading (are all your commas in the right place?) to critiques of your work (is the flow of your storyline too fast, too slow? is Character A's humor coming across well or is he/she just annoying? And so on.) Our Discord community does offer the latter service for free, though they of course can't go in as much depth as a paid editor.
My credentials: I've reviewed both fiction writing and academic writing in the context of the Tamriel Rebuilt project and the Journal of Undergraduate Research at CSU. I spent about 6 years doing this (split between these two).
My rates: These are dependent on how in depth you want me to go. For simple proof-reading, expect about 0.3 to 1 cent (US dollars) a word; full critiques range from 3 to 5 cents a word. In addition, I offer ONE FREE proof-reading and critique session for works of less than 5,000 words. (Any genre, though please note I'm not considered an expert when it comes to academic review.) Payments made only through PayPal at this time, half due upfront and half on completion.
